mission

The Grants’ Coordination Office of Addis Ababa University (AAU) was established under the Office of the President on 01 February 2015 to accomplish the following missions and visions. These are:

• To research and identify possible funding sources that match the interests of the national development agenda and that of AAU
• To create the linkages between funding organizations and scientists of the university and mobilize resources so that AAU stands competitive at the international stage of collaborative research
• Work closely with the Office of the President and the vice presidents with the intention of synergizing resources to win international projects
• Regularly update the university leadership and the faculty members of AAU in the efforts done to solicit international collaborative projects
• Follow up the implementation of collaborative projects as agreed up on with intentional development agencies to achieve the planned goals and aspiration of the projects
• Compile and report the progress of each collaborative project to the best satisfaction of AAU and donor organization so that future funding of AAU can be ensured
• Progressively work towards improving the quality of PhD dissertation research so that they address national development agenda and hence the lives of millions of Ethiopians
