AAU Sida Projects’ Coordination Office in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Addis Ababa organized the Annual Review and Planning Meeting for two days (13 to 14 November 2023) at Elilly International Hotel, Addis Ababa.
As per the agreement between AAU-Sida in the project: “Support to Research Training and Capacity Building Research and Capacity Development at Addis Ababa University (2018-2025) signed on 07 July 2018 and amended in October 2023), Sida Projects’ Coordination Office (SPCO) organizes two annual meetings, namely, one Annual Planning Meeting (APM) in each year in May and the Annual Review Meeting (ARM) each year in November.
Likewise, the SPCO conducted Annual Planning and Review Meetings of 25 Swedish and Ethiopian professors for two days (13 – 14 November 2023) were conducted at Elilly International Hotel, Addis Ababa. In these two days the activities of the year ending on 31 December 2023 was reviewed and the plans of 2024 were presented and the necessary modifications were made.
The meeting was opened by Professor Worash Getaneh, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer and delegate of the AAU President and Mrs. Åsa Andersson, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Development Cooperation at Embassy of Sweden in Addis Ababa.

Finally, in the afternoon of 14 November 2023, Mrs. Åsa Andersson, Dr. Amina Jama and Professor Brook Lemma met Dr. Samuel Kifle, Interim President of AAU to brief him on the issues and improvements that transpired at the two day meeting and the tasks ahead.
